How & Why You Should Drink More Water


Earlier today I was debating whether I should drink water, the healthier choice, or soda way more appealing. So as I choose the water reluctantly, I decided it would be a good idea to write a post that would maybe encourage some of you guys to drink more water and tell you about all the benefits you’ll get from it.

First, here are 8 benefits you get from drinking plenty of water throughout the day:

  • Reduces breakouts by flushing out toxins
  • Calms painful sunburns
  • Protects fragile skin against dry environments
  • Reduces hangover duration
  • Improves elasticity of your skin, hence prevents wrinkles
  • Helps keeping a healthy scalp and strong nails and hair
  • Especially when cold, helps with weight loss
  • Keeps you healthier by preventing many illnesses


Drinking sufficient quantities of water isn’t easy, often we simply forget about it during the day. I usually use these 6 tips to keep up with my daily water consumption:

  • Have a bottle with you all the time
  • Set an alarm for every time midst the day when you’ll need to drink up
  • Set yourself specific and gradual goals
  • Infuse your water with fruits, vegetables or herbs or try herbal or fruit teas
  • Try carbonated water
  • Replace one drink a day, example instead of a soda with dinner, try water



Hopefully, this post will drive you to drink a little (or a lot) more water during the day.
